Description
Administering and monitoring underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations
Managing the underwriting risk exposures
Preparing and signing-off offers/proposals within given underwriting authority
Regular analysis of book of business volume, new business, cancellation etc.
Develop and maintain best practice primary insurance contract language
Determination of content for group contracts and cooperation agreements
Preparing of statistics and customer orientated reports
Consultancy of relevant departments in question of principle ?
Development of underwriting concepts, literature and processes for cooperation with external partners
Profile
University Degree in Insurance Sciences, Business Management or similar qualification
Proven experience in Underwriting, brokerage or commercial insurance within the health insurance sector
In-depth knowledge of health insurance business and legal and regulatory guidelines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong knowledge of underwriting philosophy and techniques
Ability to capture complex coherences and to develop creative new solutions/suggestions
Ability to effectively assess risks
Ability to think and work in a group-wide network and within the business field
requires a thorough, decisive person with excellent analytical skills
Ability to multi-task
High level of motivation, capacity to think along international lines
Must be able to function effectively in a team environment
Both German and English languages are required for this role. German should be at a native level and English needs to be fluent.
