Description
- To provide an accurate and timely financial service including setting and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, cash flow analysis, management and financial accounts and advice and support to inform decision making for the local partnership as well as the international Finance service area
- To review and ensure appropriate overall performance reporting to the Managing Partner and Location Heads
- To be responsible for all statutory reporting according to Luxembourg GAAP, compliance, annual accounts and VAT
- To manage the annual audit process in conjunction with the appointed auditors to ensure statutory accounts are produced within the required deadlines
- To ensure that budgets and management accounts accurately reflect the business activity, that accruals and other adjustments are being made correctly, that variances from budget and other issues are investigated and resolved.
- To implement and assist in the development, review and maintenance of organizational policies and strategy for the Luxembourg office
Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant - relevant graduate qualification and/or equivalent business experience with strong hands on working experience
- Previous experience of running a small finance function including payroll, VAT, Payments, banking arrangements, accounts preparation and audit and other accounting transactions
- Significant demonstrated experience of preparation of management and annual accounts, business analysis and management information and the development, maintenance and monitoring of management information systems and procedures
- Experience in legal services/professional services industry preferred
- Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise work, handle pressure and take day-to-day decisions on the running of the organisation
- Able to communicate fluently in French and English, both verbally and in writing. German is an asset
- Able to exercise diplomacy and build partnerships and consensus.
- Able to work as part of a team and able to work calmly under pressure
- A proactive team player and self-starter who can demonstrate initiative with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good computer skills, particularly Excel
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Commitment to and understanding of teamwork and collaborative working with national and international colleagues
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to travel occasionally within Europe
- Problem solving ability
