Job description:
- As part of the Senior Management Team you will be part of the strategic development of the company, being business solution orientated whilst protecting the bank’s interests from a compliance and governance perspective
- You will possess the confidence and gravitas to inspire your team and instil confidence in senior management
- You will oversee the maintenance and revision of compliance policies together with the necessary interaction with legal and risk colleagues
- Together with your team, you are tasked with ensuring internal business units adhere to corporate policies and to the Luxembourg legal framework
- Take charge of reviewing policies and processes, enhancing and strengthening the compliance framework
- Develop a strong relationship with the CSSF (and other regulatory authorities), following their requirements and recommendations and validating progress accordingly
- Review the team’s work relating to anti-money laundering activities and ‘at risk’ areas, ensuring compliance to anti-money laundering policies
- As part of the Senior Management Team, as the Chief Compliance Officer, you will act as a representative of the bank at relevant industry conferences, seminars and round tables
- You will manage, lead and guide the Compliance Department, supporting your team’s career development via coaching, training, appraisals and regular meetings
Your profile:
- University Degree in a business related subject
- Fluent English language skills
- 15+ years of experience within the compliance field is required
- At least 3 years of acting as a Chief Compliance Officer
- Professional compliance certification is preferred
- Possess clear knowledge of relevant market regulations
- A current strong relationship with the CSSF is an advantage
- Have strong and extensive people management skills with the ability to negotiate and persuade
- Good knowledge of risk management practices is preferred
